I am the sole designer at a B2B SaaS company, which means I do not get to hand a file to someone else and hope it survives. I own the system, the handoff, and every consequence of getting the structure wrong. Six years across brand and product design taught me composition; the last few years of shipping enterprise product screens taught me that composition is not the part that breaks.
Framewise is the direct result. I had a real gap in production Figma — variables, component APIs, files a developer could read without asking me questions. Rather than buy a course that spent its first three hours on the rectangle tool, I built the curriculum I wanted, took it myself, and shipped it as a site: the 7 missions, the practice project, the design system, the assessment rubric, and the front-end code are all mine. That last part matters more than any credential. The traps this course warns you about — the resize call that silently clips children, the variable collection that falls back to black, the text node that collapses to a one-character column — are not things I read about. They are things I hit.
Why this exists
Most beginner courses spend significant time on elementary colour, type, and shape tools. Framewise compresses that material and focuses on the production model: container hierarchy, Auto Layout, components, properties, variables, responsive product screens, prototypes, and developer-readable files.
What “operational” means
One week does not create mastery. It can create a productive foundation: you can build a connected product system, explain its layout rules, stress-test it, and recognise where further practice is needed.
The practice project
The Cloud Recovery Operations Platform is fictional. It uses no confidential customer data, proprietary screenshots, or real infrastructure. Its enterprise patterns are demanding enough to reveal whether the mechanics work.
